Greg Meehan
Greg Meehan is the Vice President and General Manager of the Continuous Glucose Monitoring business at Medtronic Diabetes. Under Greg’s leadership, the Diabetes business has experienced strong growth performance and competes as one of the fastest growing businesses within Medtronic.
Greg creates a results-oriented culture by developing leaders from within the organization and attracting the right talent to key strategic roles. The cornerstone of his leadership resides in his "7 Principles of Management,” value-based way of conducting business that has lead to building a world-class sales organization, developing strong leadership, and continuing to raise the bar on expectations. In 2007, Greg received Medtronic’s prestigious Wallin Leadership Award for reenergizing the diabetes sales team and delivering results consistently to the organization. Greg has also been honored for championing the long-term talent development and acquisition of future leadership talent through Project Enterprise. He joined the Diabetes division in July of 2003.
Prior to his work at Medtronic, Greg spent 13 years at C. R. Bard (Murray Hill, NJ). He began in a sales position at Bard Urological (Covington, GA) and climbed the management ranks in the urology business. He was promoted to district manager and region manager before taking on the responsibility of vice president of sales in Bard’s peripheral vascular business. After four years, he rejoined the Bard urology division as the vice president of sales, with P&L responsibility for Bard’s brachytherapy business.
Greg holds a BS in marketing and sales management from Bowling Green State University. Upon graduation, Meehan pursued a professional football career in the National Football League for two years.
